If you have decided for the unique technique of the ashanti-cast or another technique such as sandcasing etc. a deposit is due. We start with your personal process. what do you want to let go off and what do you want to take with you into the newly beginning and transforming love relationship?These insights and thoughts can but do not have to be shared with me. Nevertheless I support you with impulses, suggestions and possibilities in this process if you want to.

A wax model of the desired piece of jewelry is made and sprue channels are added.In case of weddingrings both are casted together in one.

The wax model with sprue channels is brushed 3 times with a slurry of charcoal powder and refractory clay and then dried.4

The mass for making the mold of the lost casting is made from schamott, bentonite and horse manure. Through the blades of grass that the horse ate, tiny channels are created in the mass, through which the air can escape during the casting-process.

Cocooning: ready to metamorphise
A first layer of the mass is carefully and with great care applied to the mold. This is followed by additional layers. A crucible is formed at the end of the casting channel for melting out the wax and flowing in the metal. Over hot coals, the wax pattern is melted out of the mold and is thus "lost". What remains is the exact image of the wax pattern as a hollow mold.DEUTSCH:
Cocooning: bereit zur Metamorphose
Eine erste Schicht der Masse wird vorsichtig und mit großer Sorgfalt auf die Form aufgetragen. Danach folgen weitere Schichten. Am Ende des Gusskanales wird ein Tiegel zum ausschmelzen des Wachses und zum einfließen des Metalls gebildet. Über heißen Kohlen wird das Wachsmodell aus der Form herausgeschmolzen und geht somit „verloren“. Zurück bleibt die exakte Abbildung des Wachsmodelles als Hohlform.

The required amount of metal is calculated and weighted on the basis of the weight of the wax. From the above mentioned mass is formed a cap, which is also coated with the slurry. This is then filled with silver, gold or other metal alloys.DEUTSCH:
Die benötigte Metallmenge wird Anhand von dem Gewicht des Wachses berechnet und abgewogen. Aus der oben genannten Masse wird eine Kappe gebildet, welche ebenfalls mit der Schlicke beschichtet wird. Diese wird anschließend mit Silber, Gold oder anderen Metalllegierungen befüllt.

Then the cap is connected to the hollow form and the mold is dried on air.the egg is ready for fertilization in the act of fire!

Anschließend wird die Kappe mit der Hohlform verbunden und Luftgetrocknet.die Eizelle ist nachdem sie voll ausgetrocknet ist bereit für die Befruchtung im Akt des Feuers.

We set a date for the fire process of ashanti-casting - you can but do not have to be there. It will take place at a natural place in/around Berlin. If you wish, I can also come with the oven in your area

Wir legen ein Datum für den Feuerprozess des Ashanitgusses fest - ihr könnt aber müsst nicht dabei sein. Dieser findet an einem naturnahen Ort in/um Berlin statt. Wenn ihr wünscht kann ich ggf. mit dem Ofen auch in eure Nähe kommen.

At the right time, the mold in which the special rings are encapsulated will be turned around. The liquid metal can thus fertilize the hollow form of the highly energized wedding rings.DEUTSCH:
Zum richtigen Zeitpunkt wird die Form in der sich die besonderen Ringe befinden umgedreht. Das flüssige Metall kann so die Hohlform der ganz besonderen Eheringe befruchten.

Once the ashantiguss mold has cooled, it can be opened and the rings see the light of day for the first time in this form.DEUTSCH:
Ist die Ashantiguss-Form ausgekühlt kann sie aufgeschlagen werden und die Ringe erblicken zum ersten Mal in dieser Form das Licht der Erde.
