ALLOCHROMATIC ALTARS
Yolanda Ky creates undogmatic altars out of particular found objects.
"Yoshivaky - the Hopepunk Bomb“ is a modern altar. A place to set your intentions. Flowers are put as a conscious offering to call the desired future.
Reflecting chaos and hope it incarnates a prosperous metamorphosis which is taking place today if we are willing to see it.
The bomb, created to destroy the columns of societies shelter has transformed into an aesthetic art vessel. There to spread harmony and well-being for the observers and the environment it is placed in. With the aggressor and the victim united into one piece Yoshivaky encourages the observer to see the chance in every disaster for a meaningful and beautiful future.
... Shiva “the destroyer“ is the supreme lord who creates, protects and transforms the universe ...
… Ky which derives from Ki is the circulating life energy which in Chinese philosophy is thought to be inherent in all things…
Thoughts stay thoughts until they are followed by actions. Let’s Act now! Let’s use the current global crises as well as each personal one to act different, think different, see different and reinvent what we thought we know.
Lets make magic happen!

ALLOCHROMATIC ALTARS
Yolanda Ky creates undogmatic altars out of particular found objects.
“Oh my God” is a personal place of power for you. You can light candles, held little rituals and use it as a source of power and a place where you can call the desired future.
“Oh my God” wants to remind us of the unique power within us. We all have a big self-efficacy. No matter what we always take a decision be it grey or colourful, be it mice or dragon. We reflect our energy on others an out to this world.
Its important to recongnise that change - or everything that is - is there because we all take our decisions - be it conscious or unconsious. There is no way to not take a decision.
Thats why “Oh My God” wants to remind us on the importance of self-efficacy in every little thing.

A VIEW TO ALTERATION ° EINE SKIZZIERUNG UNSERER UMWELT
With her works Yolanda Kylombo seeks to create a synergy of art and design.
The tables of the series „A VIEW TO ALTERATION - eine Skizzierung unserer Umwelt“ shall inspire con- versations, thoughts and provoke actions.
Every table of the series „ A View to Alteration, eine Skizzierung unserer Umwelt“ underlines different aspects of the theoretical analysis :
Through the open display of the roots, the table „See Your Roots“ reminds us of our natural necessi- ties, which are, as Adorno says, replaced by „suggerierten Bedürfnissen“(desired non-essentials)
The interspace of the table „Shadows Of Influence“ is filled with fuid. Movable golden surfaces emble- matise/illustrate the interaction between human, object and environment.
When the golden areas get moved, their shadows change accordingly.
This allows for the table „ACT!“ to still be filled and invites in a figurative sense to act and to change the shadows that are cast by you.
